Pads

Blocks, Cut sheet & pads

Sheet and Pads are converted from an expanded block which is 2440 x 1220 x 610mm. This can be cut to a sheet or pad thickness ranging from the maximum extent of the block to a minimum of 6mm. Pads are then cut from the sheet to the required size. Larger than block size items can be manufactured by gluing cut pieces together.

Box Liners & Polystyrene Boxes

Polystyrene can be cut into sets of pads to create a liner for cartons, or provided as a complete polystyrene box. Liners and boxes are used for a number of purposes, including protection for items to be packed or to provide an insulated space within the box. Polystyrene recognised as an excellent insulator, causes the internal and ambient temperatures to equalize gradually.

Profiles

Moulds and profiles

The polystyrene is profiled using our CNC hotwire machines. We can achieve any two dimensional shape and where more complex three dimensional shapes and moulds are required, the profiles can be glued together.

All the programmes for the CNC profilers are created in-house. The shapes or profiles required can be from designs produced by our own Design Department, or developed from customer produced drawings or instructions.

Bottle Packs

Bottle packs are used for physical protection during transport or for presentational purposes. We manufacture standard 75cl bottle packs with the length of the pack to take a bottle up to 304mm. Non-standard bottle pack sizes can be manufactured as required.

Corner Protection

Corner protection can be achieved by using either corner blocks and/or chevrons. This creates a very simple way of packaging regularly shaped items, securing them within cartons or boxes.

Letters and Signs

From our comprehensive font base or from a font supplied by customer, we can profile individual letters or full signs, with a maximum size of 2440 x 1220, and a thickness up to 610mm.

End caps are manufactured from either cut pads or a combination of cut pads and profiled pieces glued together to make a fitment designed to securely hold the item to be packed..

Bean bags

Bean Bags are filled with fire retardant polystyrene beads. We offer a service where we receive the customers outers and fill and secure the bags with a measured quantity of bead.

Beads

We are stockists of FRA (Fire retardant) polystyrene bead, which comes in 10 ft^3 (.283 m^3) polythene bags. The bead is approximately 6mm diameter and is used for filling bean bags, loose fill for packaging and insulation. Only full bags of bead are sold and cannot be split.
